Catherine’s son is a Texan, through and through.
He knew that in Texas, EVERYTHING is bigger. And so he decided to be sure to grow big enough to be a true Texas baby
Every ounce of him is jam-packed with C U T E !
Plus, he gave me the most smiles of any newborn, so how could I help but love him?!
More of Mr T soon. Here’s a little taste of the Texas-sized adorableness he’s bringing:

Stephanie Read kicked off our “Mamarazzi Monday” series over on the Mamarazzi blog. Up first : how to get those eyes to sparkle in your photographs!
Next week I’ll be doing a little Photoshop/editing tutorial. Don’t miss it!
And, if you have a question or would like us to feature one of your photos (and maybe even edit it?) on our Mamarazzi Monday, there’s info on the blog about how to do it!

I want to remember….
…how her little wispy hair is starting to curl a little as it becomes more Einstein than ever before.
…how she loves to give hugs and wave “hi” and “bye.”
…how excited she gets when her dad or her brothers come into sight. How much I hope they will take care of her and protect her and treat her like a lady. How I hope she’ll understand the importance of being a lady.
…how surprised I am that we’re still doing the nursing thing, with no intentions to quit any time soon. It’s our time together, and I love it.
…how easily she falls asleep and how happy she is when she wakes up.
…how her little grin and squinty eyes melt my heart into a puddle.
…how she’s so many things at once : mischievous, sweet, loving, naughty, happy, adorable, hungry, hilarious.
..how quickly this year has passed.
I want to remember … my babies are growing quickly, and there will never be another time like now. I want to remember … to enjoy it.
(oh and just to add one little thing … that isn’t an editing flaw, she actually is that orange! Blame the sweet potatoes! haha)

Stephanie over at Auburn Soul Photography
and I
are doing a little cross-blog project. A project to heal the world.
No, not really.
We’re just doing an old fashioned Question and Answer post to kick off our new series, Mamarazzi Mondays. So, the question is, what would you like to know? Nothing is off limits, everything (and I mean everything) is fair game.
Want to know how we do a certain editing trick? Ask.
Want to know what we do to get those kiddos to laugh? Ask.
Want to know why Stephanie named her dog Bokeh? Ask.
Want to know what I think of the new Always Infinity maxi pads? Well, uh, yuck. But ok, ask.
We need to hear from you to make this a successful post soooooooooo …… don’t be shy. You can post your question in the comments section or be all ninja-secret-spy about it and send me an email : emily (at) emily murdock dot com.
And be sure to check back on Monday to see what wild and crazy and exciting and informative things we have to share
HAPPY EASTER, Y’ALL!

Somehow my original post about this was never actually posted on the blog. That is kind of an important step. You know, posting the post.
Anyway.
I love teaching these Mamarazzi classes! I am so excited for our next round, which is coming up soon! You don’t have to be a Mom, or even a woman, to get something out of these classes. We are trying something a little new this year. We are offering two classes: Mamarazzi Boot Camp and Mamarazzi PRO. Boot Camp is for anyone that wants to whip their camera skills into shape. You’ll learn toget the most out of that DSLR or point-and-shoot with our Boot Camp workshop. Also, we cover how to take creative images, and tips and tricks for getting great pics of your kids. We’ll also be covering basic editing in popular programs such as Lightroom and Photoshop Elements.
Our PRO class is geared toward those who currently have a business, or are looking to start one. We’ll cover invaluable information about the process of growing your business and making it what you want for it to be. We’ll even offer our own experience with things that worked — and things that didn’t work — so you can learn from us what to do and what to avoid! Last year, we had several of our Boot Campers start their own businesses, and we decided that adding a separate class would be best for those of you that are ready for that next level!
I’d love to see you in one of these classes. We are extremely limited in the number of seats that we offer, mostly because we want to keep it small and personal so you can get all your questions answered.
The next Boot Camp workshop is April 26 and 28 (it’s a two-part class) from 9am-12.
More information on the Boot Camp workshop HERE.
The next Mamarazzi PRO class is April 30 at 10am. It is a full-day course. Registration includes instruction time, a live photo shoot for you to practice alongside Stephanie and myself, and a yummy lunch.

If you’ve been here before, you might have noticed that things have changed a little bit. I’m still working through the design, and so you may see things looking a little funky, but it will all be beautiful soon!
Thanks for stopping by … more posts are in the works. And even a little Facelift Surprise for my amazing clients (and my soon-to-be-clients too!). Could it be — a way to score some beautiful photographs of your family? Stay tuned ……..

Today I’m launching a new concept. It’s a new kind of photo session (well, new to EMP anyway) and I hope that it’s something that will give you another option for getting amazing photographs of your family.
When I started really thinking of where I’d take this little photography business in 2011, I realized something. My goal has always been (and always will be) to offer beautiful, timeless photography for you and your family. I want you to display your images on your walls, I want you to proudly use them as your Facebook profile picture, and I want you to email them (or send prints!) to your family and friends. Mostly, my pricing structure and my style lends itself to capturing those important milestones in your life. BUT what if you just want to document how cute your baby looks in her outfit from Grandma? What if you just want to celebrate that it’s March and the tulips are in bloom? What if you just want to document NOW — just because!?!?!
I want to be your Milestone photographer, your Christmas Card Photo photographer, and your Everything In Between photographer too! Hopefully this new type of session will make it more possible for us to see each other more often
Introducing …. the *Hi Res*Hi Five* session.
A thirty minute mini-session with the best five photos in high-resolution on CD. Easy as can be!
So, the only question is … when are we getting together for YOUR *Hi Res*Hi Five* session?
These sessions have limited availability, please call or email for current available dates and current rates!!
