Oh, momma! What fun I had during this session with Stephanie of Auburn Soul Photography! It’s one of my favorite sessions to date. And what a great way to kick off the new year — and break in my new camera!
Can you believe her?! Oozing hotness like this? It should be outlawed.
Just kidding — but it shouldn’t be allowed unless I can be there to photograph it. Haha
I think we made up a new genre of photography, we’re gonna call it Dirty Urban. It’s where you go to places where you aren’t afraid of the dirt and grime, the people just “hanging out,” or the cars honking at you as you lay down in the middle of the road. It’s gonna be huge. Dirty Urban. You heard it here first.

Steph and I have some amazing things that we’re working on for you — stay tuned. Seriously, you don’t want to miss out.

Isn’t she beautiful! And look, she has adorable twin brothers….

We had such a fun time on a beautiful day, enjoying the lovely Dallas Arboretum.

We ended our session with a little toe-dipping in the infinity pool…
And of course, we let them have a little fun splashing!!

Thanks for another great session, you guys are so much fun!!

Could this family BE ANY MORE ADORABLE?! I’m so lucky to call them clients AND friends.

What a beautiful family! It was so fun to finally get to work with these guys…after two failed attempts at a session on Mom and Dad’s property (the South Texas rain wins every time!) , we finally caught up with one another. And I’m so glad that we did.

The grandbabies are showing off the cool treehouse their Grandpa built for them. I can only imagine how many memories will be made in there!!

This picture makes me miss the beauty of the Texas Hill Country. It has a majesty all its own. And how good does this family look!! Oh my, these parents ought to be so proud of the life they’ve created together!

No “mood pictures” here, guys….{inside joke} This is all-natural!!

Do you find this as impossible as I do?? These two said they hate pictures of themselves. You must be joking! I can’t get over how lovely the two of you are! (er, not lovely, how handsome you are Steven!!)

This is Dad and his Boys. I love this image!

And Mom and Dad….no wonder this family is so dang good-looking! It all started here!!

It was a fun session already…and then babies started flying….and we really had some fun!

Kids grow so quickly! If you don’t believe me, ask the momma of this cutie, who just a few short months ago was this little sweetheart…

Now she’s a sweet (and spunky!) one-year-old!! Here are a few from a fabulous session…Dallas in the fall is just stunning.
Beautiful light, beautiful leaves, beautiful baby!
My job doesn’t get any easier than that…!!

{Can you believe how cute he is? I love this last shot}
It’s hard to imagine that this little guy is already one! It’s been a joy to capture him from the maternity session all the way through the first year.
Happy Birthday, Diego!
Stephanie, sorry to keep you waiting for this sneak peek…I know you’ve been checking the blog every ten minutes for the last couple days
I was fortunate to work with Stephanie Read from Auburn Soul Photography to create some fun and colorful images of her family at the Texas State Fair. We battled humidity…and fried foods…but I love the way the images turned out! I hope you love them, too, Stephanie. It was fun to meet you guys!

{Even though I realize that this post is more fun in color, I couldn’t resist adding this one in black and white…definitely one of my favorites!}

I just love this adorable family! The image above is my favorite from the session–to me, this is a “real” shot of the kiddos. And what sweet children they are!
Thanks again for the opportunity to photograph your amazing family!

*The whole Dietz crew…it’s always so fun to see a large family together for family pictures. You really get a sense of the great joy that comes from family.

*And it all happened because these two fell in love! (They certainly don’t look like grandparents, huh!)

*The siblings and their spouses

*Momma and her girls. Lacey (on the far right) wasn’t born a Dietz sister but you’d never know it…she fits in so well. Plus, they’re all so glad that such an amazing girl was willing to marry their only brother!

*All the grandbabies… it’s not an easy thing to get this many kiddos to look at the camera. Obviously.

*The newlyweds Whitney and Jared (they weren’t married yet! This was taken on their Wedding Eve) on the left and sweet Michelle and her husband Tyler on the right.

*Jennifer and her amazingly good looking family

*Steph and Cory and their three angels. Those kids are so fun, I loved being with them!

*Kim, her disobedient husband Mason and their absolutely adorable kids. (Sorry, Mason, but it had to be said…you were just plain disobedient for family pictures. Shame on you. )
Just kidding! The whole family made my job exceedingly easy!

*Jen and Rob on the left, Steven and Lacey to the right

*Wanna know a secret? I didn’t swap a single head in ANY of these pictures. Which is amazing when you consider how many children there were under the age of 5. Look at these five! Totally adorable!

*These three announced shortly after the photo session that their party of three will soon be a party of four! Congrats!

*Okay, I’m going to get in trouble for this, I just know it. It may seem like I’m playing favorites by adding just this one individual of one of the kids, but seriously — how could I not?? I giggle every time I look at this image. What a doll! And each of the other children were equally adorable and if I had the space, I would add all their individual ones. But alas, this will have to suffice….

*And a couple more of Kim and Mason. And their super sweet kids. Love you all.
My heartfelt thanks to the Dietz family for the opportunity to be a part of such a special weekend. It was magical.
